Summer Program
AIU’s Summer Program is a six-week, six-credit, intensive Japanese language and culture workshop program designed for highly motivated undergraduate students around the world. Participants can take elementary courses taught by experienced Japanese instructors to hone their Japanese language skills in a small class environment.

Check-in Date: Check-out Date: Course Levels: | Tuesday, June 17, 2025 Wednesday, July 30, 2025 These courses are designed for Absolute Beginner to Advanced Beginner learners. JPL 105 is designed to acquaint students with grammatical structures and vocabulary appropriate for beginning learners. JPL125 is designed to acquaint students with grammatical structures and vocabulary appropriate for beginning learners who have successfully completed the Japanese courses at the university level for approximately one semester (ca. 55 hours). JPL215 is designed to acquaint students with grammatical structures and vocabulary appropriate for advanced beginning learners who have studied Japanese at the university level for approximately two semesters. For details, please refer to “Courses” on the “Program Calendar & Courses” page. The class allocation will be determined based on the results of the placement test, which will take place on day 2. |
